2005 National Jamboree

 

 

 Next year the National Jamboree will be held at Fort A.P. Virginia from July 25-August 5th 2005. 

 

Mr. O’Brien and Mr. Lynch are going to be two of the leaders for the troops going down to Virginia for the Jamboree.  

 

The Yankee Clipper council will be bringing 3 troops of 36 Scouts each.  We could expect over 40,000 Scouts at the Jamboree.

 

 

Some other thing you might want to know.

·       Must be at least 12 years old by the time of the Jamboree.

·       Must be at least 1st class before you go.

·       Cost is $1,100 for Scouts

·       Monthly troop meetings will start in October 2004

·       For our sightseeing we will be going to Gettysburg and Hershey Park.

 

 

 

 

Some of the activities you can do are

·       Scuba Diving

·       Archery

·       Air riffle shooting

·       Obstacle courses

·       Swimming

·       Boating

·       BMX riding

·       Rock climbing

·       Merit badge midway with over 100 different merit badges

·       Mountain Man program
